‘Tyrrell Sunrise‘ is an early morning aerial photograph of the many ponds surrounding Lake Tyrrell, Victoria, Australia. This is not normally something that I photograph often, but the stillness of the lake and the ponds and the colours from the morning sunrise were just too lovely not to photograph. Lake Tyrrell and surrounding salt lakes were formed as a result of the inundation of the Murray-Darling Basin through sea level rise and its subsequent retreat; the present landscape and soils were formed as a result of this process.
Using the drone gives a different perspective not seen from the ground; the angle allows you to gain a better idea of the landscape and the unique shapes of the land. The height (approx 40 meters) and angle of the photograph allow for a different reflection from the sky, giving the photograph a greater depth of colour and contrast.
The photograph is printed on 260gsm premium white satin lustre paper. Other printing options are available, including size, matts, frames, and canvas. Please message me for customised options and costings.
